The New York State Summer Young Writers Institute
We invite students who will be entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the fall of 2011 to apply for our annual New York State Summer Young Writers Institute held at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, July 3-9, 2011.
The application deadline is April 1, 2011. Public and private school students residing both within and outside New York State are eligible to apply. Tuition is $725. Full and partial financial aid is available to qualified students.
The New York State Summer Young Writers Institute permits student writers to interact with published writers, practice craft and meet other young writers from around the state. The program is an outgrowth of the New York State Writers Institute in Albany, NY, which is headed by Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist William Kennedy. The Summer Young Writers Institute is also sponsored by Skidmore University in Saratoga Springs, NY, which hosts the program.
