AGATE, the official advocacy organization for gifted and talented students in New York State, has been serving gifted children and their parents, educators, and communities since 1976. Our Board Members give generously of their expertise, time, educational training, money, and resources through their many advocacy efforts; workshops and conference presentations; legislative lobbying; and general parent, school, and community support services.

The hundreds of people who have contacted us for guidance and advocacy over the many years speak highly of our efforts in their behalf. We are proud of our distinguished reputation.

As a non-profit organization, the revenue we have available is able to underwrite our efforts besides our personal contributions, time, and resources. Money is used to provide for our annual conference, and printing and distribution of our publication GEMS of AGATE, and other programs. 

All Donor contributions are tax deductible and will be published and acknowledged in Gems of AGATE unless a request is made for anonymity. Any donation of $100 or more will receive special recognition.
