Alexinia Baldwin Educator of Year Award

The AGATE Board seeks nominations for the annual Alexinia Baldwin Educator of the Year Award. Nominees shall have made outstanding contributions to gifted education in the role of teacher, coordinator, director, supervisor, principal, professor, or other related roles.

Dr. Baldwin, a professor of Curriculum a the University of Connecticut, and the original founder of AGATE in the 1970s, is a researcher involved in issues relating to gifted an talented education and a tireless advocate for our most able learners.

NOMINATION GUIDELINES: Please submit the following:

  • A brief biography (50-75 words) with nominee’s address and telephone
  • A narrative description of the nominee’s activities that have promoted gifted education, providing evidence of the nominee’s commitment to the needs of gifted children
  • Supporting statements from nominator and colleagues of nominee

Nominations for the 2010-2011 school year must be received by June 30, 2011.
